Listening Objects (2021-2025)
Limited edition of 5 (and 1 artist proof) Each edition has six Listening Objects and a presentation box Materials: Glazed and unglazed clay, hand dyed and sealed rope, flocked shell, wooden box. A series of objects made through conversations with people experiencing poor mental health or working within mental health contexts. Each object takes its name from the role or position of the person that created them: Mother/Patient Daughter/Carer School Teacher/Listener Nurse/Leader Therapist/Aid Worker Artist/Young Carer The objects are made for both an arts and therapeutic context. When used in a listening circle or performance the participants choose an object to hold as a starting point for conversation and reflection. Similarly, within a therapeutic context the objects are designed to be reflective for the patient and allow free association. to edit. |
