Silenced Histories (2015)
Silenced Histories was a performance connecting histories stories with that of the day by looking in particular at witchcraft confessions, sections of the bible, recipes and daily newspapers. The performance attempted to create a contemporary sabbat or witches meeting where performers worked with the audience to develop props, make food and play games, each modernising an element of history. The performance was built to destroy its self, breaking the barriers of the historical witch trial and the contemporary witch hunt, mocking political debate. Over the performances duration the set, costumes, props and score became fractured and broken turning into a sea of debris, destroying all narratives.
